Italy’s duodecennial World Cup finals

Since 1970 Italy have reached the final of the World Cup every twelve years alternating between losing, in 1970 and 1994, and winning, in 1982 and 2006. If that pattern continues they can expect to be beaten in the final in Moscow in 2018.
